Maryland Veterans Memorial Museum at Charles County Proposed Concept Elevation

The County Commissioners of Charles County in January 2002 established a Charles County Veterans Memorial Committee. The purpose of the Committee was “to develop a plan for locating, designing, funding and constructing a permanent memorial to honor the County’s Veterans.” The concept was amended in January 2008 to include all Maryland Veterans.

 

The Charles County Commissioners authorized utilization of the Glasva Elementary school site for the Maryland Veterans Memorial Museum at Charles County. The roofing system was replaced with County and State funds. The interior has also been cleaned to meet environmental standards. The Charles County Commissioners and our elected delegation have been very supportive of our local Veterans Museum honoring all Maryland Veterans.
